I just finish this painting of Powder who sadly past away a few months ago.  Powder was loved by many and will always be remembered as being a happy dog.

I just finished the red shutters and loving them! Next step, wooden panels. Very excited to finsh this piece and place it in it's new home.

"Ninja, Satchel and Sweet Pea Playing House" in the making

"Ninja, Satchel and Sweet Pea Playing House" is for the winners of the Philly Pack Rescue Fund Pet Portrait. I wanted to show the stages of the painting before it is finish. Next to come is white trim windows and red shutters. The house will have wooden panels. I am not sure if I should leave the wood background exposed or paint the wooden panels.....what do you think?

Tea with Alexis

This painting is done for my friend Alexis. She is the voice behind Teaspoons & Petals  and she has open my eyes to tea and great food!

The first image is to show the processes of how I paint.  As you can see I dont use under tones. I always paint what I want the viewer to see first and then work my way around or in this case out.
It's not the norm but it works for me!

The second image is the final piece called "Tea with Alexis".

Spring is among us

Living in Philadelphia this past winter was pretty depressing. So much snow and too many days staying in, watching TV and getting fat. Well, NO MORE. I created this painting welcoming Spring time. Bye bye winter.
